When Steak ‘n Shake opened its first location in Milwaukee, Y&L PR teamed with Second Harvest for the grand opening. During grand opening weekend, Steak ‘n Shake gave patrons free milk shakes, in exchange for a $1 donation to Second Harvest of Wisconsin. The shake offer became the centerpiece of media coverage about the restaurant’s grand opening, and sales increased 50% during the grand opening weekend.
